2. Check out Captain Ahap and his Love Boat in Turgutreis, he runs the cleanest boat on the coast.

3. Get off the dolmush at Aykyalar, if you don’t want to walk up the hill, it’s approximately £1.50 from the taxi rank there.

4. If you go to Ephesus, go as early as you can and allow time for the many retail outlets along the way, there are some fabulous bargains to be had, from United Colurs of Benetton, Diesel, Adidas, Nike etc.

5. La Villa Fish and Meat Restaurant in Turgutreis on the sea front will pick you up from the house free if you call them and deliver you back too safe and sound. They can be contacted on 0252 382 33 44, they will even allow you some shopping time there. We suggest you have one of their special casserole dishes the bread is huge!

6. Look out for the owl and her ‘furbie’ type baby in our neighbours chimney, they are sooooooooooo cute and often soooooooooo elusive!
